DBS Shortlisted for H&V News Awards

» 20th February 2014

Derry Building Services have been shortlisted in two categories for the H&V News Awards 2014 reaching the finals for Building Services Contractor of the Year and Apprentice of the Year with one of their talented mechanical graduates Chris Makin.

They will now progress to the next stage of the competition having the chance to impress the judging panel with a presentation in early March. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 24th April 2014.

Now in their 20th year the H&V News Awards celebrate excellence in the Building Services Industry and have been branded as ‘the Oscars of the building engineering services sector’ by Roderick Pettigrew, Chief Executive of the Building and Engineering Services Association.

‘We are very excited to have reached the finals for these prestigious awards. We were fortunate enough to win Building Services Contractor of the Year in 1999 so to be shortlisted again 15 years later really allows us to demonstrate how far we have moved on as a company.

We are also very proud that Chris has made it to the finals in his category; he has been an outstanding apprentice showing commitment and competence to the highest level. We cannot think of anyone who deserves the recognition more.’
