Fred Banks Memorial Trophy Winner 2009

Mark Townsend, Managing Director and Steve Burley, Director of Derry Building Services are pictured with Lance Dyer receiving the Fred Banks Trophy award, on 8th December 2009 at Ruddington Grange Golf Club.


The award was established in 1973 and is a memorial award dedicated to Fred Banks, an ECA member who was a staunch advocate of training within the electrical industry.


The nominees for the Fred Banks Trophy are employed by the Nottingham Branch ECA member company, and have completed their C&G 2351 course with technical certificate. Initial recommendation is by the college, supported by a favorable reference from the employer and the responsible JTL Training Officer.


Lance was nominated by Loughborough College and was short listed to six nominees and attended a panel interview on the 20th November.


Mr Townsend commented “Lance is a very enthusiastic apprentice who thoroughly deserves this prestigious accolade and we wish him the best of luck as he progresses his career”.
