About The Project:

This development, which includes an impressive 12,300 square foot atrium, is located on the western edge of Leatherhead Office Park with outstanding views across the adjacent green belt.

The building consists of three storey open plan office space, 157,500 square foot, and was designed as lettable / flexible office accommodation for Unilever. It incorporates a selection of meeting rooms and conference facilities, along with overall external and undercroft parking of 525 spaces.

In addition the development includes a 7,000 square foot ancillary building housing a gymnasium and cafeteria. The building, which has achieved a 'Very Good’ BREEAM rating and Grade B, EPC, is highly energy efficient and incorporates solar thermal panels and a closed loop ground coupling system to achieve in excess of 10% energy provision from renewable sources.

The mechanical element consisted of fan coil units served by heating and chilled water derived from a mixture of boilers, chillers and a ground source heat pump installation. The electrical element consisted of power, security and lighting incorporating lighting control modules and dimmable fittings.

The building was awarded ‘Best Commercial Property of 2009’ and was praised for the balance between glazing and solid facades, achieved with elegance and economy.
