About The Project:
This Curry’s distribution centre is located at Newlink Business Park, Newark.
The project involved the construction of a distribution warehouse with an integral office block and a remote gatehouse.
The building consists of 700,000 square foot of warehouse space split across 3 chambers each with internal office pod buildings. Two of the chambers are used for bulk storage and the third is a fully automated small projects facility.
The design and build installation of the mechanical and electrical building services included the following:

Mechanical Scope:
- New incoming gas and water supplies
- External fire hydrant ring main
- 3 high velocity ventilation ductwork systems
- Various supply and extract air handling ventilation plant systems
- Hot water plant and distribution system to the main offices and the 3 warehouse pod offices
- Communications room close control air conditioning systems
- Public health and installation infrastructure
- Fully networked H and V building management control system
Electrical Scope:
- New incoming supply rated at 4MVA
- 11kv distribution panel
- 3 package sub-stations
- A 11kv generator rated at 2MVA
- 3 LV sub-distribution panels complete with HMC and PLC controls logic
- 3 emergency lighting central battery systems
- 4500 light fitting
- Full daylight linked automatic lighting control system
- Fire alarm installation including high level beam detectors
- Full security system including CCTV, access control and security alarms
- Data network installation
