DBS are committed to using an integrated, holistic approach that positively impacts all phases of a buildings life-cycle through design, construction and end usability of the spaces we create.

Balancing the needs of modern society, with the potential harmful impact of our actions for future generations, must be considered and that's why we work with our Supply Chain to utilise the latest technological advances, and source more sustainable materials, to ensure we help to protect and conserve our planet.

We recognise that sustainability is a commitment that starts at home which is why we are proud to be taking responsibility for our actions and have started our 'Net Zero by 2040' journey.

 

As a business we are working to address and reduce our energy and carbon inefficiencies and aim to reduce our carbon footprint by 5% year on year. In 2023 we achieved our first PlanetMark certification recognising our commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability and joined their mission to empower change for a brighter future.

In 2024 we reduced our carbon usage by 34.13 tons, a reduction in our carbon footprint of 5.88%.
